Error - Unable to install report files
Description

In Sage 50 Accounts v29, the reports are installed as a zipped folder and extracted when the first user logs into the software. This error occurs when the software is unable to find the report files. Let's resolve this issue.

Uninstall Sage

  1. Create a backup of your data.
  2. Press the Windows key (or click the Start menu button) then click the settings icon .
  3. Choose the Apps option in Windows 10 and 11. In Windows 7 and 8 look for Add and Remove Programs.
  4. Scroll through the list of application and then find and right-click the version of Sage 50 Accounts you want to remove, then click Uninstall.

That's it. Your Sage 50 Accounts is uninstalled. 


Reinstall Sage

  1. On your new computer, close all software then download the relevant software version.
  2. To begin the installation, locate and double-click the downloaded file, for example,[BCB:262:UKI - 50 Accounts full download version number:ECB]
    TIP: To view your Downloads folder, press Ctrl + J on your keyboard while you have your web browser open.
  3. If prompted, click Yes to allow this app to make changes to your device.
  4. Select the I accept the terms of the Licence Agreement check box and click Next.
  5. Click the Standard (recommended) installation type and click Yes, begin installation.
  6. Once complete, the software checks for any updates, if prompted click Install then click Yes, begin installation.
  7. If prompted to restart your computer, click Restart now.
  8. If not prompted to restart, to complete the install, click Close, then click Close again.
