Before you start

If you're deleting a leaver, make sure they've downloaded their payslips or other documents first. They won't be able to log in to Sage Employee Online Services after you delete them.

Delete the employee

You can delete employees with services still assigned to them, for example Payslips or Documents. When you're ready to delete an employee, follow the steps below.

  1. Open the Online Bureau portal and click the option to log in as an Employer, Accountant or Bureau.
  2. Log in as normal.
  3. Click Employees, then View employee list.
  4. Select the check-box to the left of the employee to delete.
NOTE: If required, you can select more than one employee to delete. There's no select all option, and you must select employees manually.
  5. Click the Delete button above the list of employees.
  6. To complete the deletion, click Continue, or to go back without deleting the employee click Cancel.

You've completed the deletion.

Permission denied message

When you try to delete an employee, the following error can appear:

'Permission denied. You can't delete the selected employees as you're not a manager of all services assigned to them.'

This happens if the employee has one or more services assigned that your username doesn't have manager access to.

To resolve this, update your user permissions if you should have access, or delete the employee with a different username. Manage user permissions - Online Bureau >
