Microsoft 365 integration with Sage 50 Accounts
Description

Microsoft 365 integration isn't available in Sage 50 Accounts v31 and above. If you use Sage 50 Accounts v30.1 or below, you can connect your data to Microsoft 365 services.

We've replaced several Microsoft 365 integration features with newer functionality.

Sage Dashboard We've replaced Sage Dashboard with business dashboards.
Sage Capture We've replaced Sage Capture with AutoEntry and AI Document capture features.
OneDrive Documents Transaction attachments replaces OneDrive Documents.
Cloud Backup Cloud Backup remains available. You can continue to use cloud backups through your integration settings or other supported cloud backup options.
Sage Contact

Sage Contact is no longer available. There's currently no direct replacement for this feature.

Before you start

To use Microsoft 365 integration, you need:

  • Sage 50 Accounts
  • A compatible Microsoft 365 subscription

If you already have a compatible Microsoft 365 subscription, connect it to your Sage account. Sage then sends a user agreement that allows Sage 50 Accounts apps and add-ins to access Microsoft 365 services.

Check whether your Microsoft 365 subscription is compatible before continuing.


Activate Microsoft 365

Activate your Microsoft 365 account before connecting Sage 50 Accounts.


Install Sage 50 Accounts

Install the latest version of Sage 50 Accounts if it isn't already installed.


Activate the Sage 50 Accounts features

Once you install Sage 50 Accounts, you must update your licence.

  1. Open Sage 50 Accounts.
  2. Go to Tools, then select Activation.
  3. If prompted, select Refresh Licence then proceed to step 5.
  4. If no Refresh Licence appears, select Upgrade program.
  5. Select the Enter a new licence checkbox.
  6. Enter your:
    • Serial number
    • Activation key
    • Account reference, then click OK.

      You can find this information in your Sage 50 Accounts confirmation email.

  7. Select OK., then OK again.

Upload your accounts data to Microsoft 365

  1. Check you've installed all available updates at sage.co.uk/accountsupdates.
  2. Open Sage 50 Accounts, then login to the company as manager.
  3. Go to Settings, then select Company Preferences.
  4. Enter your password, then select OK.
  5. Select Microsoft 365, thenLet's get started.
  6. Enter your Microsoft 365 email address, then select Next.
  7. Enter your Microsoft 365 password, then select Sign in.
  8. If prompted, select the Consent on behalf of your organisation checkbox, then Accept.
  9. Select Upload Now, then OK.

After uploading your data, set up access for any additional Microsoft 365 users.
