On the server or computer that holds your data

Install the full software
  1. Close all software, then click the link below:

  2. This will download automatically to your downloads folder, or click Save.
  3. To begin the installation, locate and double-click [BCB:262:UKI - Sage 50 Accounts full download version number:ECB]
    To view your Downloads folder, press Ctrl on your keyboard.
  4. If prompted, click Yes to allow this app to make changes to your device.
  5. Select the I accept the terms of the Licence Agreement check box and click Next.
  6. Click the Standard (recommended) installation type and click Yes, begin installation.
  7. Once complete, the software checks for any updates, if prompted click Install then click Yes, begin installation.
  8. If prompted to restart your computer, make sure you have any work saved, then click Restart now.
  9. If not prompted to restart, to complete the install, click Close, then click Close.

Set up your data
  1. Open Sage 50 Accounts.
  2. In the Add a Company window click Create then click Continue.
  3. Enter your software Serial numberActivation key and Account number.
    You can find these on your order confirmation email.
  4. Click Next, then to confirm your licence, click OK and click OK.
  5. Ensure the Share this folder for all users check box is selected.
  6. Make a note of the shared network path then click Next.
  7. To create your new company, follow the on-screen prompts, clicking Next on each window. If you have a backup to restore, you can just enter the minimum required details here.
  8. Once you have entered all your details, in the Summary window click Create.
  9. Enter your manager Password you created during the process then click OK.
  10. If you have a backup to restore, you should restore it now.

On client computers

Install the full software on each client computer
  1. Close all software, then click the link below:

  2. This will download automatically to your downloads folder, or click Save.
  3. To begin the installation, locate and double-click [BCB:262:UKI - Sage 50 Accounts full download version number:ECB]
    To view your Downloads folder, press Ctrl on your keyboard.
  4. If prompted, click Yes to allow this app to make changes to your device.
  5. Select the I accept the terms of the Licence Agreement check box and click Next.
  6. Click the Standard (recommended) installation type and click Yes, begin installation.
  7. Once complete, the software checks for any updates, if prompted click Install then click Yes, begin installation.
  8. If prompted to restart your computer, make sure you have any work saved, then click Restart now.
  9. If not prompted, click Close, then click Close.

3 - Connect client computers to your data

  1. On each client computer, open Sage 50 Accounts.
  2. In the Add a Company window select Connect, then click Browse.
  3. Browse to, or type, the network path you noted earlier, adding \Company.000 at the end.
    For example: \\server\SAGE2022\Company.000
  4. Click Continue and click Next then click OK and click OK.
  5. Click Connect and enter your Logon name and Password then click OK.

4 - Final checks
