The Customer Activity tab lets you view your transaction history with a customer. The window displays their transactions, account balance, total payments, and year-to-date (YTD) turnover. Find out more about the customer record.
Access the Customer Activity
Go to Customers, double-click the required record, then select Activity
The credit limit entered in the Credit Control tab.
Balance
The current balance of the customer account.
Amount paid
Total payments made by the customer.
Turnover YTD
The year-to-date turnover value, net of VAT. The figure is from the Sales tab and clears during the year-end routine. You can manually amend this value in the Sales tab.
Show
Select the relevant period to show transactions for that date range.
Date
Reflects the period chosen in the Show field.
O/S Only
Select this checkbox to display outstanding transactions only. If the checkbox is clear, all transactions will appear.
No
The number of the transaction.
Type
The following transaction types can appear:
SI = Sales Invoice
SR = Sales Receipt
SC = Sales Credit
SA = Sale on Account
SD = Sales Discount
SP = Sales Payment
Date
The date of the transaction.
Due on
The transaction due date.
Ref
The transaction reference.
Exchange Rate
The exchange rate of the transaction.
Details
Any details entered for the transaction.
Amount
The value of the transaction.
O/S
The amount of the transaction that's outstanding. A column with no heading appears after O/S. This shows * if the transaction is outstanding and p if the transaction is part paid.
Debit
If the transaction represents a debit, its value appears here.
Credit
If the transaction represents a credit, its value appears here.
To view full details of the transaction, select the required transaction, then select View transaction.
View item
You can drill down on the transaction if created from an invoice record. This displays the related invoice. Either select the transaction and select View item or double-click the transaction. TIP:These transactions have a Smart Link icon.
View bank charges
If you use bank charges, view any charges associated with this customer.
Show detail
This opens a window that breaks down the selected transaction into its components. For example, a sales receipt shows the invoices it paid off.
Select the transaction to amend, then select this option.
Unallocate transaction
Unallocate transactions to unlink them. For example, you've paid the incorrect invoice. NOTE:A sales receipt (SR) becomes a sale on account (SA) when it's unallocated.
Delete transaction
Select the transaction, then select Deletetransaction.
