| How to record a refund from your supplier |
Description | It's quick and easy to record a refund from your supplier, let's do it now. |
Resolution | Record a supplier refund- Click Bank accounts.
- Click the bank account you want to receive the money in to.
- On the tool bar, click Supplier refund.
- Complete the boxes as required:
- Make sure the correct Bank A/C Ref is selected
- Enter the relevant date - by default it enter today's date
- Select the relevant supplier account, i.e. the supplier the refund is from
- Enter the refund amount either in the Amount box if it's not allocated to a credit note or in the amount column against a credit note you want to refund
- Once the boxes have been completed, click Save.
- If you have not allocated the refund to a purchase credit the following message appears:
'There is an unallocated refund of [insert amount] do you want to post an unallocated refund?' Click Yes.
This refund now appears as a PR on your supplier activity. If you haven't already, you can Allocate a supplier refund to a credit note. [BCB:254:UKI - Personal content block - Andy:ECB]
