1. Log in to Sage 50 Payroll, and click Company.
2. In the Tasks menu, click Online Services Settings.
   
   NOTE: If it says Online Document Settings, you use Sage Online Bureau. Follow the steps to upload online payslips in Sage Online Bureau.
   
   
3. Click Log In, unless you're already logged in, and enter your Sage account login details.

If you, or any employees, have updated personal details in Sage HR, import these changes into Sage 50 Payroll before you upload payslips.

 CAUTION: If you don't import the changes, the details in Payroll overwrite the amended details in Sage HR when you upload payslips. 

Which employee details update in Sage HR Online Services when I upload payslips?

Several fields update automatically when you upload online payslips. Find out which employee details import to Sage HR Online Services when you upload payslips.

Are payslips available to view straight away?

If you select to publish payslips immediately, employees can view their payslips in Sage HR Online Services when you click Publish payslips.

You can schedule to publish these payslips on a future date. They're then available to view on that date. Find out more in our guide to schedule when you upload payslips to Sage HR Online Services.

Where can I view the uploaded payslips?

You can view published payslips in the employee's profile in Sage HR Online Services. You can view scheduled payslips in the Company payslips dashboard. Use our guide to view your employees' payslips and P60s - Sage HR Online Services.

Can I publish historical payslips?

Upload historical payslips to Sage HR Online Services so employees can view previous payslips online.

Are employees notified about their uploaded payslips?

Yes, by email. They also get a push notification on their phone is they have the Sage HR app. Find out more on payslip and P60 notifications in Sage HR Online Services.

What happens the first time I upload an employee's payslip?

If the employee's profile doesn't already exist in Sage HR Online Services, it's created automatically. This sends a welcome email to them. Find out more on how to add employees in Sage HR Online Services by uploading payslips.

When you schedule to publish a payslip in the future, the employee still receives a welcome email. They don't get a payslip notification until the published date.

NOTE: You can upload payslips to create an employee in Sage HR Online Services or update their details. If you've already updated the current pay run, upload historical payslips to Sage HR Online Services instead.
