Sage 200 is part of a global franchise which has a single vision and strategy across fourteen countries worldwide. The strategy has a single focus of delivering product modernisation by harnessing the power of the desktop whilst liberating key data via connected web and mobile services. The strategy allows us to deliver on continuous improvement through a regular release cadence to ensure we are continually adding value to the customer base.

Sage 200 Summer 2018 Enhancements is due for release in September 2018. The release is one in a series of releases to launch Sage 200 in the UK and Ireland. Sage 200 includes Standard and Professional. Sage 200 will introduce a number of connected services through a regular release cadence.

With that in mind Sage 200 has three key themes:

  • Connected data
  • Customer experience
  • Simplicity

Highlights include:

  • Payments – Integration to Sage's own Payments Cloud offering integration with top payment providers Stripe and PayPal.
  • Go Cardless Preview – Set up and collect direct debits from within Sage 200.
  • Sales Order Processing Enhancements – Enables cross-sell, preferred item, order history, frequently ordered items.
  • Microsoft Skype and Google Map – Integrations for improved communications.
  • Document capture for Purchase Invoices – Attach scanned or emailed Purchase Invoices to the associated transaction.

Payment Integration

What:

  • Add Stripe and PayPal to our Pay Now feature.
  • Enable customers to pay invoices using their Stripe or PayPal accounts.
  • Transactions will automatically reconcile to the ledger.

Details:

  • We've enhanced our Pay Now functionality to include additional Payment Providers.

Benefits:

  • Easier for their end customer to pay their invoice.
  • Improved cash flow.
  • Quick and simple to customise invoices with the Pay Now button.
  • Transactions will automatically reconcile to the ledger inclusive of transaction fees saving customers time and reducing manual reconciliation processes.

GoCardless Preview

What:

  • Schedule and collect payments by Direct Debit from within Sage 200.
  • This is a technology preview with enhanced functionality available in future Sage 200 releases.

Explanation:

  • Sage have partnered with GoCardless a leading digital Direct Debit provider.
  • End customers can be selected to take advantage of GoCardless via the Pay Now functionality.

Benefits:

  • Set up Direct Debit from both invoices and directly within product.
  • Remove the pain of late payment.
  • Improved Cash Flo.
  • Greater predictability of cash position.

Cross Selling & Suggested Items

What:

  • Enhancements to the Sales Order Processing functionality.
  • Prompt for cross-selling items.
  • Prompt for suggested items.

Explanation:

  • Cross-selling items are complementary items which are often sold together with another stock item.
  • Suggested items show items that are specific to the customer such as frequently bought, recently bought or preferred items.

Benefits:

  • Speed up the entering of a full sales order.
  • Increased sales opportunity by identifying suggested or cross-selling items at the time the order is placed.

Customer Alerts

What:

  • Set up a customer specific alert to notify Sage 200 users about relevant information for that customer.
  • Multiple alerts can be configured per customer.

Explanation:

  • Set up alerts on a customer account to show messages whenever you deal with that customers.
  • Alerts are displayed when the customer account is selected.
  • Alerts can be configured for display at various points associated with a customer for example when entering an Invoice.

Benefits:

  • Present key customer information to Sage 200 users at the point of interaction with the customer.

Document Capture

What:

  • Attach documents to purchase invoices and purchase credits.

 

Explanation:

 

  • Attach invoices and other related documents to a purchase invoice or purchase credit.
  • View attached documents during the purchase invoice authorisation process.
  • Documents may be scanned, dragged from emails or loaded from a file.

Benefits:

  • Improved auditability during purchase invoice authorisation.

Skype Integration

What:

  • Ability to Skype customers and suppliers directly from within Sage 200.

Explanation:

  • Select Skype for Business when viewing a customer or supplier account.
  • Select the appropriate email where an account contains multiple emails.

Benefits:

  • Improved communication with end customers.

Google Maps Integration

What:

  • View a supplier or customer address using Google Map.

Explanation:

  • When viewing a customer or supplier account, select Google Maps to show their location in a separate browser window.
  • Select an appropriate address where multiple addressed exist.

Benefits:

  • Easily locate customers.
  • Get directions to your key customers.

Spooler Enhancements

What:

  • Improved performance when viewing the spooler.
  • Filtering of spooler details.

Explanation:

  • Spooler items can now be filtered by report name, user, company, status or date range.
  • Technical improvements to the spooler system greatly improve performance when retrieving spooler data.

Benefit

  • Find documents faster by using the new filtering system.

Education Quick Wins

Note: Only applicable to Sage 200 Education

What:

  • Improved VAT 126 report.
  • Purchase Authorisation.
  • Improved Default Nominal Structure.

Explanation:

  • Improvements have been made to the VAT 126 report to better reflect the needs of the Education sector.
  • Education users will now be able to take advantage of existing purchase authorisation functionality.

Benefits:

  • These features further enhance our Education offering.
