Sage 50 Accounts

To locate your documents easily, they're stored in specific directories. You can also copy reports and layouts to another company or another computer

Layouts, letters and labels

Each company has its own layout, letter and label folders which are held in the same location as the company data.

Check the company data location

  1. Open the relevant company, click Help, click About.
  2. Under Program Details, note the Data Directory.
The Layouts, Letters and Labels folders are held in the data directory path, on the same level as the Accdata folder.

Reports

The location of the company reports depends on whether or not you select the Use Data Path for Reports checkbox.

  1. Click Settings, then click Company Preferences.
  2. Click the Reporting tab, then look for the Use Data Path for Reports checkbox.

If selected, the reports are in the same data directory as the layout files.

If not selected, the reports are in one of the local folders below:

  • Sage 50 Accounts v31 - C:\ProgramData\Sage\Accounts\2025\Company.000\Reports
  • Sage 50 Accounts v30 - C:\ProgramData\Sage\Accounts\2024\Company.000\Reports
  • Sage 50 Accounts v29 - C:\ProgramData\Sage\Accounts\2023\Company.000\Reports
  • Sage 50 Accounts v28 - C:\ProgramData\Sage\Accounts\2022\Company.000\Reports
