You can amend the exported file and import the data back into Sage 50 Accounts or another program. You can use our How do I import data? guide to do this.
Reports available to export data
The following reports export your data in the correct format so you can import them back into your Sage Accounts software, if necessary.
TIP: Some reports are available in multiple formats, like (Extended). In most cases, you only require one report. If in doubt, use the extended option to extract as much data as possible.

Excel file formats
TIP: You can view examples of the Excel import file templates in our Data fields you can import guide.
- In Sage Accounts click Help, then click About.
- Under the Program Details section, click the Program Directory path.
- Open the Import Templates folder.
- Double-click the relevant import template.
