If you use scheduled backups and sync Sage 50 Accounts with Microsoft 365, you can upload backup files automatically to Microsoft OneDrive. You can also configure email notifications to receive the status of each backup, including any errors.
Before you start
NOTE:
Office 365 integration isn't available in Sage 50 Accounts v31 or above.
Make sure you've:
Set up automatic backups to OneDrive
- Log in to Sage 50 Accounts as manager.
- Go to File, then select Schedule back up.
- Select Settings.
- Under the company list, select the OneDrive checkbox for each company you need to back up.
NOTE:
The OneDrive checkbox is only available for companies already connected to Microsoft 365.
- Select Save.
Set up email notifications
You can receive an email each time Sage 50 Accounts creates a backup.
These steps apply to Sage 50 Accounts v25 and above.
Check the upload status
- Log in to Sage 50 Accounts as manager.
- Go to File, then select Schedule back up.
- Select Backup files.
If the backup uploads to Microsoft 365 OneDrive, the upload status appears in the
OneDrive column.
