Set up to backup to Microsoft 365 OneDrive
Open Sage 50 Accounts and log on using your manager logon and password.
On the menu bar, click File then click Schedule back up.
On the left side-bar, click Settings.
Under the list of companies, select the OneDrive check box for the companies you want to back up to the cloud.
The check box is only enabled on companies that are already synced with Microsoft 365.
Click Save.
Set up email notifications
Each time a backup is made, you can set the software to send an email notification, with the status of the backup. This would include if there are any errors in your data.
Open Sage 50 Accounts and log on using your manager logon and password.
On the menu bar, click File then click Schedule back up.
On the left side-bar, click Settings.
Under Email notifications select the Enable email notifications check box.
To add and remove email addresses to send notifications to, click Manage email addresses.
Enter the email you want to receive the notification, then click Add.
To remove an email, select the check box next to the email and click Remove.
Repeat step 6 for any other emails, then click OK.
Restore from OneDrive - Sage Accounts v25 and above
On the menu bar click File then click Restore.
Click OneDrive then click the required backup file and click OK.
Click OK then click Yes, and once complete click OK.
Enter your Logon name and Password then click OK.

You must sign in using the admin Microsoft Office ID that's linked to your Sage 50 Accounts. If you're logged in with a different Microsoft Office ID, you need to sign out and sign in again using the correct ID.
Click the App Launcherthen click OneDrive.
On the left side-bar, underGroups, click the groupSage - <>.
Click the
Backupfolder.
Click the folder with the date of the required backup.
The name of the folder is in the format YEAR-MONTH-DATE.HOUR.MINUTE.SECOND. For example, if the backup was made at 1 pm on 25 October 2016, the folder would be named 2016-10-25.13.00.00
Click the backup file, for exampleSageAccts Stationary Computer Mart 2016-10-25 13-00-00.001
You are prompted to save the file to a location on your computer. Ensure to make a note of the location you choose.
