Security measures

Sage 50 Accounts contains security measures, which prevent users from copying data files from one company to another.

You see the message if a user or third-party software copies or replaces Sage data files.


If you’re using v27 and the error appears at a remote site

If the error appears when you're using Remote Data Access at a remote site. Check if the error appears at the main site, then select the relevant option below.

  1. Lock and refresh the data at the main site and check if you can log in.
  2. Disconnect and reconnect to the data on the remote site.

This message can happen if your data is corrupt.

If you have an error-free backup Create a new company using the backup.

If this doesn't work or you don't have a backup, Get in touch for further support.
