Run as administrator
- Right-click the Sage 50 Accounts shortcut then click Run as administrator
If this resolves the issue, you can permanently set the shortcut to run as administrator:
- Right-click the Sage 50 Accounts shortcut then click Properties.
- Click the Compatibility tab.
- Under Privilege Level, select the Run this program as an administrator check box.
- Click OK.
Reset your licence information
For help with this, contact your local IT support.
- Close all software, log off Windows, then log in as an administrator.
- Hold down the Windows Key, then press E to open File Explorer.
- In the address bar, type C:\ProgramData\Sage\ then press Enter.
- Right-click SDK Licence, select Rename then rename the folder to SDK Licence OLD
TIP: If you can't see the folder, select View, then Show, and select Hidden items. - Browse to C:\ProgramData\Sage\Accounts\XXXX and delete the sage.usr file.
NOTE: Where XXXX is your software version, for example, 2024. - Click the button below to download the registry fix:
Download the registry fix - If prompted to save the file, note the file name, then click Save.
- Browse to and double-click the downloaded file.
- Click Yes, click Yes, then click OK.
- Open Sage Accounts then re-enter your licence information.
