Absence diary symbolsTo access the diary or to add an absence, open the required employee record and click the Absence tab.
The following table shows the symbols that appear on the absence diary and what they represent >

How they showStatutory sick pay (SSP) days that haven't been updated appear on the diary as lower case letters. Once the information is updated, the letters convert to upper case and look like this >
Half day absencesHalf day absences appear on the diary as a box that is half shaded. For a morning absence, the top left of the box is shaded. For an afternoon absence, the bottom right of the box is shaded like this >
Custom absencesYou can set up custom absences for absences that aren't covered by the absence types already set up. When you book absences on the diary, they appear as the number of the absence. E.g. If you set up custom absence 1 as Training, when you enter Training on the absence diary, it appears as a 1 > |
