To install the Manufacturing server NOTE: This only applies if you intend to install Sage 50 Manufacturing on several computers in a network environment and are licensed to do so.
If you intend to install Sage 50 Manufacturing on a computer network, you should begin the installation process on the server. Once Sage 50 Manufacturing is working as required on the server you should then begin the installation process on each client computer (see To install the Sage 50 Manufacturing client). When you install Sage 50 Manufacturing on a server: If you are unsure about any of the information relating to the installation of Manufacturing on the server, please contact your IT support personnel or your Sage Technical Support provider. To install the Sage 50 Manufacturing clientThis is the part of the program which must be installed on every computer. - Insert the Sage 50 Manufacturing CD into your computer CD drive. After a few moments, the CD will autorun. Refer to the section What if the installation CD does not start automatically?’ if it does not. You are presented with the following screen.

- You must read and accept the details of the Software License Agreement.

- Click Accept to agree to the licence agreement.
- The installation process prepares.

- When it is ready to proceed, you will see the following screen. Click Next.

- The installshield wizard commences.

- Confirm that you accept the terms of the licence agreement, and click Next.
- Readme information is displayed.

- Read this information as it contains late breaking information relating to the installation. When ready, click Next.
- The Customer Information window appears.

- Enter your name and your company’s name and choose to install for anyone who uses the computer. Then click Next.
- The Destination Folder is displayed.

- Use the Destination Folder screen to control the location where Sage 50 Manufacturing will be installed. Accept the default unless there is a specific reason not to. Then click Next.
- The Ready to install screen appears.

- Click Install to commence installation.
- You will be presented with the following window while the installation takes place.

- You don’t need to do anything. The installation process may take a few minutes to complete.
- When it has completed, you will see the following window.

- Click Finish at the end of the installation to complete the process.
When installation is completed, you will have new options in your Start menu and an icon on your desktop so you can access and use the software. Installation is now complete, but you must set up the software before you can use it. Please refer to the article Configuring Sage 50 Manufacturing for first time use if you require assistance in this area. What if the installation CD does not start automatically?Take the following steps: - Check you inserted the installation CD the correct way up in your CD drive, that the CD is clean and that the CD tray is closed on the computer.
- Be patient. Depending on computer resources and several other factors it may up to a minute for your CD to run automatically.
- If nothing happens, locate MY COMPUTER. This is usually displayed on your desktop or within the Start/Windows icon in the bottom left corner of your screen.
- If you do not have access to My Computer, it is likely that you aren’t logged on with sufficient Windows access rights to install your software. Rectify this before doing anything else.
- Once you have opened My Computer, locate your CD drive in the list of available drives (this is usually denoted as d: or e:). Right click the CD drive and choose the option to Open. This can prompt the CD to autorun and you may continue with the installation as discussed in the first part of this article.
- If suggestion (b) does not work, repeat the same steps but choose Explore instead of Open. The contents of the CD will now be displayed on screen. Locate a file called 50ManuCont_MBI.exe. Double click this file to launch the installation and then continue as described in the first section of this article.
If you still cannot start the installation please call your Technical Support provider. What if I receive a message during installation, prompting me to modify, repair or remove the program?If you attempt to install the program and you see the following window, then you already have Sage 50 Manufacturing installed on the computer. 
You do not need to repeat the installation, unless the previous installation did not complete properly, or there is a problem with your software, or you have been instructed to do so by Technical Support. Using Repair is the best option to choose as it is least likely to cause problems with your software. If you are not sure which option to use, please contact your Technical Support provider. NOTE: You can also use this window to remove the Manufacturing program, if you no longer require it to be installed on the computer where you received the message.
