Pre-requisites

Before you can install Sage 50 Manufacturing, you must ensure you have already completed the following:

  • Installed Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and configured it accordingly. If you have not yet done so, please refer to this Sage KB article.
  • Installed and configured Sage 50 Accounts on all computers where you intend to use Sage 50 Manufacturing. If you require assistance with this, please refer to the Sage Help Centre.
  • The Serial Number and Activation Key for the Sage 50 Manufacturing product. You will not be able to configure Sage 50 Manufacturing later in this article without it. If you do not have this to hand, please contact Customer Services on 0191 479 5955.
  • A valid username and password for Sage 50 Accounts.

TIP: Sage 50 Accounts has a default logon name of Manager. This is the equivalent of an 'administrator' user for your Sage software. The Manager logon has not been configured with a password by default but it is possible to set one. You can test if this is the case by opening Sage 50 Accounts and entering the logon name of Manager, without a password. If the program opens successfully, Manager does not have a password. If a password has been set but you're unable to find it and can't log in as a username with full access rights to Sage 50 Accounts, please contact Technical Support on 0191 479 5955.
