Print a label

You can select the Labels option from the Customer, Supplier, Product and Invoice and Order modules by selecting the  option from the taskbar.

TIP: If you aren't running your software in full screen mode, you'll need to click Documents and Reports, to see the labels option.

Choose your label layout

If you haven't already decided which label you want to use, it's best to select the standard label that is already closest to what you need.

Before you start printing batches of labels, you should print one or two labels to confirm the label fit your stationery.

Align the label with your stationery

If the label you select doesn't fit your stationery, you can align it by using Report Designer.

  1. Click your chosen label then click Edit.
  2. On the menu bar click Format, then click Labels & Forms.
  3. In the Preset label size drop-down, click your label stationery if listed, otherwise click Custom.
  4. Click Advanced, then click Page Setup, then click Portrait or Landscape from the Orientation section.
  5. Click Printer, in the Name drop-down click the correct printer, click OK then click OK.
  6. Measuring your label stationery, complete the Advanced label settings as below.
  7. Click OK.

To check or change the unit of measurement, on the menu bar click Tools, click Options then check the Measurement field.

Dymo labels

Sage 50 Accounts includes labels for Dymo label printers, which are popular due to their speed and clarity.

Dymo labels print sideways, which means that when first previewed in Sage 50 Accounts, they appear incorrectly. To correct this you must amend the label setup.

  1. Preview the required label, then click Page Setup.
  2. Click Printer then click the required Dymo label printer.
  3. Click Properties, click Advanced then select the correct label size. If you purchased the labels from Dymo, the label type appears on the reverse of the label.
  4. Click OK, click OK, then click OK.
  5. Click OK, click Close, then click Yes.

If the text needs to be moved you can amend the printer offsets.
