Stuck on Loading when you enter your National Insurance number

Created on  | Last modified on

Summary

What to do if Sage Sole Trader hangs when you enter your National Insurance number.

Description

Sage Sole Trader uses your National Insurance number to find your business details with HMRC. You enter the number on the Find your business screen within Income tax, then Sage runs the check.

For a small number of accounts, the button stays on Loading and the screen does not move on. We know about this issue and we're working on a fix. The check stops before Sage links your business, so your existing records stay as they are.

Resolution

Check your details first

  1. Refresh the page, then select Income tax and try again.
  2. Check your National Insurance number against the format of two letters, six numbers, and one letter, for example QQ123456A.
  3. Enter the number in capital letters, with no spaces.

Contact our support team
