Created on  | Last modified on

Description

After loading a new TLS / SSL server certificate issued by Go Daddy, users are seeing error "Your connection is not private" (net::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID) when accessing the Sage X3 URL.

This issue only happens in Chrome or Edge browsers, Firefox does not report any issues.

Cause

This issue is due to Go Daddy changing their certificate structure as described in their article at https://www.godaddy.com/en-ph/help/why-is-godaddy-removing-clientauth-eku-and-transitioning-to-the-r1-root-hierarchy-for-dv-tls-issuance-42783

Resolution

1. Download "GoDaddy Certificate Bundle - DV - R1 with Cross to G2, includes Root" (gd_bundle_dv-r1-g2.pem) from the Go Daddy repositary at https://certs.godaddy.com/repository

2. In Sage X3:
Navigate to Administration, Administration, Certificates, Certificates of Certification Authorities and load the PEM file you downloaded.

3. Navigate to Administration, Administration, Certificates, Certificates edit the appropriate server certificate and add the newly created CA in the CA Certificates section (remove any previously added ones)
