Error "Cost Structure not specified for line" error when creating a Purchase Receipt from a Shipment

Summary

If one of the initial Shipment lines is deleted or deselected before saving, the subsequent line loses its link to the cost structure and the error occurs on creation of the receipt.

Resolution

This is a known issue that has been fixed in X3 2025 R2 (12.0.38).  The link to the cost structure should does not break when a previous line is deleted or deselected.

A hotfix is also available for 2025 R1 (12.0.37) and 2024 R2 (12.0.36)

Steps to duplicate

  1. Create a purchase order with three lines that have a cost structure.
  2. Go GESSHIP function. Select all purchase lines
  3. De-pick the first line.
  4. Create the shipment
  5. Check the cost structure detail on the first line. There is not detail.
  6. Create the receipt of the shipment. An application error occurs:
  7. Cost structure not specified for line: 1
