If you share ownership of one or more rental properties, you must report only your share of the income and expenses to HMRC.
In Sage 50 Accounts, you record the full income and expense amounts for the property business. Sage then applies your ownership percentage when it prepares your quarterly update.
When you set up MTD for Income Tax, Sage asks if you share ownership of any UK property.
If you select Yes, indicate whether your accounts already show your personal share:

When you select the option to apply an ownership percentage, Sage applies this percentage to all MTD transactions.
You can't apply different percentages to different properties inside the same Sage 50 Company.
If you have the same percentage of ownership for all properties in the business, use one company, and apply the ownership percentage.
