Missing Draft transactions in Sage Sole Trader

Created on  | Last modified on

Summary

How to find Draft transactions you've entered in Sage Sole Trader that are missing.

Description

If transactions you've entered don't appear in Draft transactions in Sage Sole Trader, the date range filter is likely hiding them. Extend the date range to find and review them.

By default, Drafts shows the last 90 days of transactions in Sage Sole Trader. Older drafts can still exist, but you won't see them until you change the filter. This often happens when:

  • Your trial balance shows a value, but the transactions don't appear in Drafts
  • The number of transactions left to create has reduced, but you can't see the missing ones
  • You entered transactions on an earlier date than the default range covers

To see all your draft transactions, change the date range to Custom date range and extend the dates to cover when you entered them.

Resolution

  1. Go to Drafts.
  2. Above the transaction list, find the date range banner. For example, Showing last 90 days.
  3. Select Change date range.
  4. Choose one of the preset ranges, or select Custom date range to set your own dates.
  5. If you chose Custom date range, select the From field and pick a start date from the calendar.
  6. Select the To field and pick an end date from the calendar.
  7. Select Apply.

NOTE:

You can search for transactions up to 365 days after the From date in a single custom range.

Your missing transactions now appear in the Drafts list. You can review, edit, or post them as normal.

If transactions are still missing

If you extend the date range to cover when you entered the transactions and they still don't appear, check the following:

  • You already categorised the transactions, so they appear in Completed rather than Drafts
  • You're signed in to a different business or account than when you entered them
