This error can occur when creating an Inter-company PO and tunnelling to complete the Inter-company invoice.
The solution to this issue is to increase the value of adxmto at the folder definition.
The number of tables open in the X3 processes are known to be increasing over time and, depending on the customer's usage of the system, the adxmto needs to be adapted.
- Purchasing – Orders – Create a new PO for site NA011 for Supplier GB011 for any product in stock in GB011 which also has NA011 as a site. Note a Sales Order is generated which is confirmed in a log file
- On the PO scroll down to the Ack ID field in the Total section and click on its action button and select Sales Order to drill to the SO
- In the Sales Order click on Allocation and ensure it is fully allocated. Click on Delivery to go to the Shipment
- In the Delivery click on Validation
- Click on Journal Traceability then click on Invoice
- In the Sales Invoice click on Post and the error Too many tables open occurs and you are kicked out to the main menu
Additional
Go back to the original Purchase Order and tunnel into the Sales Order as in step 10
On the Sales Order go to the menu and click on Journal Traceability. Click on the Delivery and tunnel into it
In the Delivery go to the Sales invoice field and click on the Action button and tunnel into the invoice. The error occurs again but this time other errors pop up and you are unable to exit the screen
