Summary
When the EVCSERVICE parameter is set to “Germany”, the following error systematically occurs when validating the VAT number using the EU VAT ID validation icon in the GESBPR function: “VIES service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.”
Resolution
This issue is linked to a minor defect that is currently under review by the development team.
As a workaround, set the EVCSERVICE parameter to “EU” to allow the validation to complete successfully.
