In the GESBPR function, for French business partners, VAT number validation intermittently fails when performed either via the EECNUM (EU VAT No.) field using the three‑dot action button or through the EU VAT ID validation icon.
The following error message is displayed: “VIES service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.”

- Expected behavior: The VAT number validation must be more stable, using the three-dot action button (in the EECNUM field) or via the ‘EU VAT ID validation’ icon
- Workaround: Check the VAT number on the VIES site.
This issue is planned to be fixed in 2026 R1 (Patch 39). The bundles correctly perform the service call and return the expected results.
