Action buttons missing after pinning Right Panel

This article details a problem with Action buttons not displaying in the Right Panel

Description

After Pinning the Right Panel (Action Menu) within a Function, Action Buttons appear in a floating panel before disappearing. They then fail to display in the Right Panel.

For example:
Go to: Sales > Order > Order (GESSOH).

The floating panel then disappears, and the Right Panel is Pinned. However, the Action Buttons are missing:

Click on Refresh or exit and then reload the function, and the Right Panel displays the Action Buttons correctly:

This issue affects the following Sage X3 and Syracuse versions:

  • Syracuse Server 12.21.16.2 (2024 R2)
  • Syracuse Server 12.20.19.6 (2024 R1)

Syracuse Server 12.23 (2025 R2) is not affected.

Resolution

Upgrading Sage X3 to 2025 R2 (Patch 38) will resolve the issue.
Note - Syracuse versions are NO LONGER backwardly compatible with previous X3 patch levels. 

As a workaround, after pinning the Right Panel, users will need to either click on the Refresh button in the Right Panel or exit and reload the function.
Once the Right Panel is Pinned, users will no longer experience the problem.
