Excel Export from Stock Transactions gives Table Start / End Error

This article details a problem when trying to export data from the Stock Transactions enquiry function

When viewing movements for a Product via the Stock Transactions (CONSSMV) enquiry function, if the number of transactions displayed results in an even number of full pages, the Excel Export function displays a Table Start / End error and fails to create the file.

For example, if a product displays 200 stock transactions and the max number of lines per page for the Enquiry screen is set to 25, 50, 100 or 200, the Excel Export will fail.

If the enquiry results in a partial page at the end, the Excel Export will work correctly.

This issue is currently being investigated by our developers (Defect ID: X3-361155) and this article will be updated once a fixe is made available. 

A workaround to this issue is to choose the CSV export instead of the Excel export. Although the message ‘Table Beginning / End’ is also displayed, the CSV file is generated correctly.
