How can I enter separate VAT submissions for different companies/VAT Entities

When you want to create or submit your UK VAT declaration, and navigate to Declarations, Tax management, others, processes, VAT returns (GESVFE) you enter your HMRC credentials which are specific to one company/VAT entity.   

If you have multiple companies, you are unable to complete a different company tax return as you are not prompted to enter your HMRC login again.

This is because the HMRC credentials are cached with an inactivity timeout of 1 hour. 

As this is an inactivity timeout, you need to ensure there is no user activity in the VAT return function, else the timeout will be reset to another hour.  After 1 hour of inactivity, you will find you are then prompted to re-enter your HMRC credentials when you do a VAT return, so can move onto your second company.

There is currently no workaround for a live system, so users must wait 1 hour after completing each separate company submission.  

An enhancement request has been submitted for Sage Development to consider changing this behavior (Sage Ref: X3-318760) to allow disconnection of the HMRC session on demand.
