Install directly from the installation files - v29.2 and below

 TIP: If you don't have install issues, you can download and install the latest version of Sage 50 Accounts.

 NOTE: These steps are for v29.2 and below. If you're using v30 or above, follow the steps in our alternative article.  

1. Press the Windows key  + R.
2. Type %temp% and click OK.
3. Double-click the Sage Accounts_version number (for example 28.1) folder. 
4. Open the Packages folder.
5. Double-click Sage50Accounts_DataAccess.msi and follow the wizard.
   If you're installing the Sage Data Service on the computer where you store your data, you only need to run the Sage50Accounts_DataAccess.msi file.
   

    TIP: If prompted to install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 redistribution package, click OK. Download and install the 32-bit version of the package, vc_redist.x86.exe, then install the Data Access Components again. The download is in the Redist folder alongside the Packages folder.

6. Open Sage50Accounts_Client.msi and follow the wizard.
7. Double-click Sage50Accounts_ReportPack.msi and follow the wizard.
8. Install Sage50Accounts_ODBC_x64.msi on 64-bit operating systems only and follow the wizard.
9. In Sage 50 Accounts v29.2 - Double-click Sage50Accounts_Lockstep.msi and follow the wizard.
