What to do if you see this error when emailing documents from Sage 50 Payroll.
When you export a report from Sage 50 Payroll to send via Microsoft Outlook, sometimes the following error appears:
'Remote server returned '550 5.7.520. Message blocked because it contains content identified as spam'
NOTE:
The numbers 550 X.X.XXX varies depending on your mail provider.
To resolve this issue, remove the link to Adobe.com from the document you're trying to email.
- Select Pre-update Reports or Reports depending on where the report is that you're having the issue with.
- Browse to the report and right-click it.
- Select Edit. The report opens in Sage Report Designer.
- Select Report, then Email Settings.
- In the How should the report be sent section, remove the following text:
- 'To view the payslip you will need Acrobat Reader, available as a free download from http://www.adobe.com/'
- Select OK.
- Select File then Save As.
- Double-click the REPORTS folder, then double-click the UserDef folder.
- Leave the Save as type as Form Files and select Save.
The amended version of this report you created is in your User Defined (Local) reports folder.
Run the report
When you need to run this report:
- Go to Pre-update reports or Reports as required.
- Select User Defined (Local) on the list of options to the left.
- Select the report and use the Email as normal.
