How to configure users to override the Lock Date function in Sage 50 Accounts
Description
If you've applied a Lock Date to your company, users with the right permission can override the warning and proceed with posting their transaction. You can also ensure users can't override the lock.
Resolution
These steps vary if you use older versions. See the relevant section below:
v27 and above
Open Sage 50 Accounts and log in as Manager or an administrator.
ClickSettings, go to User Managementthen clickUsers.
Select the required user from the list then clickEdit.
ClickLevel of Access then expand theSettingsmenu.
To allow access to override the lock date, tick theLock date settingscheck box. Or, to remove access, clear the check box.
ClickFinish, clickSave, then clickClose.
v26 and below
Open Sage 50 Accounts and log in as Manager.
ClickSettingsthen clickAccess Rights.
Select the required user from the list then clickEdit.
Expand theSettingsmenu.
To allow access to override the lock date, tick theLock date settingscheck box. Or, to remove access, clear the check box.
ClickOKthen clickClose.
