Summary

An overview of using Stripe with Sage Sole Trader.

Description

What is Stripe?

Stripe helps businesses process online payments, manage subscriptions, and handle financial transactions with its software and APIs. It supports various payment methods like credit cards, debit cards, and digital wallets.

Stripe offers features, such as fraud prevention, invoicing, and currency conversion.

Using Stripe, you can accept payments from customers directly through your invoices. This helps you get paid faster while keeping everything in one place.

How it works

You need a Stripe account to use this feature. If you don’t already have one, you can set it up during the connect process.

You don’t need a Stripe subscription. Stripe charges transaction fees only on the payments you receive. There are no setup or monthly fees unless you choose optional extras.

When you enable Stripe, a Pay online button appears on your invoices. This allows your customers to pay you using Stripe.

You control which invoices include the Pay online button. Disable it before you send the invoice if you don’t want to offer this option.

NOTE: Sage Sole Trader doesn’t support other Stripe payment types, such as website transactions.
