A core part of all computers (laptops or desktops) is the Central Processing Unit (CPU). In recent years, ARM-based CPUs have become more popular due to their power efficiency which makes them great for mobile devices like smartphones and laptops.
ARM-based CPUs are architecturally different from more traditional x86/x64 CPUs, in which all Sage desktop software applications were created for.
This means that Sage software, for example Sage 50 Accounts, will not work on a computer which has an ARM based CPU. Some examples of ARM-based CPUs and devices are:
