How is data physically stored for Sage Connect and Sage Network?

Created on  | Last modified on

Summary

When data synchs from my accounting system to the Sage Connect, across the Sage Network where is the data physically stored?

Description

Data flows into Azure Storage Blob Containers via the Sage Network Connector Services, sending specific entity data to the appropriate Service/Storage:

  • Invoice and Payment data uses an Azure SQL Database for storage
  • Customer and Contacts use AWS DynamoDB for storage
  • Accounts and Company data (accounts services) uses AWS MySQL for storage

If data resides on local hardware, is it encrypted at rest?

Neither Sage Connect nor Sage Network use local hardware.  Any data at rest in the cloud is encrypted; data in transit is over https/TLS 1.2 or higher.
