Summary
Some users are noticing the correlation ID is not displayed in the Sage 50 Accounts program after submitting a VAT return.
Description
We are in communication with HMRC and they have escalated this with their Platform team.
Resolution
If you have experienced this, log in to your government gateway account and check that HMRC have received your submission. If they have, you don't need to take any further action.
We have identified the issue to have been caused by some critical changes HMRC needed to make, which changed the formatting of the file returned to Sage 50 Accounts after a submission.
Our Compliance Service have pushed out a fix on Tuesday 28th May so that Sage 50 Accounts can now read this new file and surface the Correlation ID. This will only fix the issue for VAT returns submitted via Making Tax Digital on or after Tuesday 28th May.
