Create a new P11D database

Created on  | Last modified on

Summary

How to set up a new database in Sage 50 P11D.

Description

By default, your software creates a single database, in which you can create one or more companies ready to process.

When you first install Sage 50 P11D and enter your activation details, there are two options:

  • Create New Data
  • Upgrade Existing Data

If you don't have existing data from a prior version to upgrade, create a new P11D database.

Resolution

Follow the steps below to get started and create your new database.

  1. Open Sage 50 P11D.
  2. Enter your activation details and select Next.
  3. Select Create New data then Next.
  4. The default path for v31 appears automatically, select Browse if you need to amend it and browse to the required location.
  5. Select Next then Finish.

You've created your database, and can log into it. The default username is Administrator, and there's no password.

NOTE:

We recommend you set up a password for the Administrator username straight away. For help with doing this, visit our create and manage user names article.

You're ready to set up your company. Find out more in our set-up your employer details article.
