Known issue: Report Designer page setup does not load (64-bit)

Summary

We've resolved this issue in Sage 50 Accounts.

Description

When opening the Page setup screen from Report Designer in v30 64-bit, the window doesn't load.

Resolution

 NOTE: This issue is resolved in v30.1 and above of Sage 50 Accounts. If you aren't using the latest version, upgrade now.

 


Workaround

To work around the issue in v30.0 and below you'll need to download and replace a file in the Sage 50 Accounts program directory. Here's how:

  1. Download the updated dll file.
  2. In Sage 50 Accounts, click Help and then About.
  3. In the Program Details section, click the link next to Program Directory
     NOTE: This will open the installation directory in Windows Explorer, for example: C:\Program Files\Sage\Accounts.
  4. Close Sage 50 Accounts.
  5. Extract the contents of the .zip file downloaded in step 1 to your desktop.
  6. Locate the Sage.Reporting.Engine.dll file in the extracted folder.
  7. Copy the dll file to the installation directory you opened in step 3.
  8. On the replace or skip files dialog box, click Replace the file in the destination.

You can now open Sage 50 Accounts again and your page settings in Report Designer will work as expected.
