Sage Accounts Production Version 23.0 (UK ONLY)

This article provides instructions for downloading and installing Sage Accounts Production (SAP) v23 manually on a single computer, if you use the software across a network there are also some steps advising how to configure the network to ensure all workstations update to the new version.

CAUTION: This article relates to the UK version of SAP. To check if you use the UK version in SAP, click Help and click About and then click System Information, the pre-upgrade version is v21. If you use the Irish version, for download steps and a link to the correct file, refer to the following article>

Standalone Installs

1. Close Sage Accounts Production.
2. Download the update file.
3. Run the downloaded file.
4. Accept the terms and click Next.
5. Select Workstation, then click Next.
6. On the Check Settings and Install window, click Next.
7. When the installation finishes, click Finish.

Network Installs

1. Open Sage Accounts Production.
2. Click Help > Auto update configuration.
3. Note the Shared Updates location and close SAP.
   • If no path is specified, create a shared folder accessible to all workstations and enter the path. Contact your IT support if needed
4. Close SAP.
5. Download the update file and run the Network Configuration option.
6. In Application Destination Folder, place the setup.exe file in the Shared Updates location noted or created in step 3.
7. Run setup.exe from the shared location to update this machine and install new formats.
8. Repeat step 7 on all other workstations to update them.

If other workstations are incorrectly configured

You may see this message when opening SAP:
“We were unable to automatically locate the installer for version xxxxxx of Sage Accounts Production.”

• Browse to the setup.exe file in the shared folder as described in step 3 and click Update Now
