Update database settings from master to client

Summary

How to set the overwrite option to copy from master before you update the client in Sage Accounts Production.

Description

When you change database codes in the master, some of the settings don’t automatically copy to the client.

Resolution

 To allow this, you need to switch on a setting in the master database code.

  1. Open the master database.
  2. Go to Database, then select Settings.  
  3. Locate the relevant database code you’ve changed, then select Edit.
  4. Go to Setup and select Allow detail to be Overwritten on Update.
    This option is only available on the master.
  5. Select OK, then update the client to the latest master.
