What to do if you encounter this Full Payment Submission (FPS) issue in Sage 50 Payroll.
Description
In some cases, you may find the Last FPS date is blank for one or more employees after you send a full payment submission including them.
Resolution
The steps you need to take depend on whether HMRC have already received the submission in question.
NOTE: If you're not certain if HMRC have received a submission, check your HMRC online account or contact HMRC.
- HMRC received the submission >
To avoid duplicating values that HMRC hold, you mustn't complete another live FPS.
If HMRC have the data for the employee in question, you can submit a dummy full payment submission. This updates your Last FPS date without sending the data to HMRC again.
After you complete the dummy FPS, check the Last FPS date. If it's still blank, contact Sage technical support.
- Submission not received by HMRC >
Try again to submit an FPS as normal. Check whether the Last FPS date updates:
- If the date updates, check HMRC receive the submission, and if so, proceed as normal
- If the date doesn't update, contact Sage technical support
