Set up Bank feeds and connect your Sage account

How to set up Bank feeds in Sage 50 Accounts v29.2 and above.

Description

If you haven't yet connected your Sage account to your software for bank feeds, you can follow the steps in this guide to do this. You can then set up bank feeds in your software.


Let's do this now.

 NOTE: This feature is only available in Sage 50 Accounts v29.2 and above. If you are using a previous version you can upgrade to the latest version here. 


Resolution

Before you start

  • We recommend Bank feeds is set up by the person who manages the accounts data and users
  • Ensure you have your online banking credentials to hand as your bank may prompt you to enter these

Connect your Sage account

  1. Click Bank feeds then click Continue.
  2. Enter your First Name and Last Name then click Yes, I am the right person.
  3. Check your company information is correct, then click Continue.
  4. If you have a Sage account login, enter your login detailsclick Log in then continue to step 9.
  5. If you don't yet have a Sage account, click Create account.
  6. Enter your details, enter and confirm the password you want to use, then click Sign Up.
  7. Check your emails and enter the verification code you've received, then click Continue.
  8. When the Success! Your company is now connected window appears, click Close.

Set up Bank feeds

  1. In the Bank Feeds window, ensure the correct Country is selected, then either use the Find your bank box to search for your bank, or select it from the list under Or choose from these banks.

    TIP: Can't see your bank? Type the name of your bank in the search box and click Tell us about it to let us know so we can work on adding a feed for you in the future

  2. After clicking your bank name, click Continue then follow the on-screen instructions to connect to your bank. These steps are unique to your bank and may include entering your online banking credentials.

  3. Next, in Download starting from select the historical date from which you want to start downloading transactions, then click Continue.

    NOTE: The start date must be in the last 90 days and may need to be later depending on your bank.

    A window appears either confirming the connection, or with further authorisation steps from your bank.

  4. To complete the setup, click Finish.
You've now set up your Bank feed connection! 


Next steps

If your bank authorised the connection straight away during setup, you're now ready to start using Bank feeds. If your bank requires you to send a physical authorisation form, authorisation can take up to ten working days.

Once you've had your connection authorised you can start using Bank feeds.
