Error with the address: Generic COM Error

When sending an email you may be presented with an error:

ERROR:
Error with the address: A Problem occurred when sending your email. Please restart your computer and retry. If the problem persists, you may need to reinstall your sage software and microsoft office. Generic COM Error

This is caused by Windows updates (Windows 11 KB5025224,  Windows 10 KB5025221)

When these updates are installed it enables a toggle switch option at the top right of your Outlook application to 'Try the new Outlook'. If you select to try the new Outlook, this will force an install of 64-bit Outlook which does not support COM addins which are required for Outlook to communicate with Sage 200.

 CAUTION: This Version of outlook with 'New outlook' enabled has not been tested on and therefore not supported. 

To reenable the ability to send emails from Sage 200 via Outlook please revert the 'New Outlook' setting to off.
