Bank Feeds - Matching transactions in v29.2 and above

Summary

How to match bank feed transactions in Sage 50 Accounts v29.2 and above.

Description

NOTE:

This feature is only available in v29.2 and above. If you're using a previous version, you can upgrade to the latest version.

Resolution

There are two methods to match your Bank feed transactions with your Sage transactions; drag and drop or manual select and match.

Drag and drop

  1. Drag your bank transaction over the desired Sage transaction.
  2. Drop the transaction to match them together.
  3. To match multiple transactions so the same Sage or Bank Feed transaction, repeat the process for each one.
  4. Once the values of the transactions match, they'll move to the Confirmed tab automatically.

Manual select and match

  1. Select the bank and Sage transactions you want to match.
  2. When the Selected difference amount in the top right shows 0.00, Choose Match selection.

Part-matched transactions

A Part-matched badge appears if the selected bank and Sage transaction values don't match exactly. The transactions move to the Confirmed tab once the amounts match. If the transactions are part matched, you can create a transaction for the remaining amount.

Ignore transactions

To ignore a transaction, for example, a duplicate:

  1. Highlight the transaction and select Ignore selection.
  2. Select the View ignored button at the top right of the Bank feeds window to view ignored transactions.

Create a new Sage transaction

If you don't have a Sage transaction to match against a Bank feed transaction:

  1. Select the Create option on your bank transaction.
  2. Choose the type of transaction. For more information, see our Bank Feeds - Create Transactions article.

Next steps

After matching all of your transactions, you need to confirm the matches in the Confirmed tab. Find out more about how to confirm your matches here
