
To ensure you're using the correct legislation at the right time, the update is now mandatory. This means when you open your payroll software an automatic update prompt appears and you must install the update.
Once you install the update, a new icon for Sage 50 Payroll is placed on your desktop. You should keep this new icon and simply right-click on the old Sage 50 Payroll icon and click delete.

When you submit your final full payment submission (FPS) of the tax year, there's no indicator to specify that it's the final submission of the tax year. This is included in your payroll year end submission.

For the 2023/2024 tax year, the personal allowance remains at £12,570. This means you don't need to update employees tax codes, unless HMRC advise you to.
