How to delete a customer refund in Sage Accounting.
You always allocate a customer refund to one of the following:
- Sales credit note
- Sales quick entry credit note
- A customer's payment on account
If you allocated a customer refund, delete it before you edit one of these transactions. You can't save customer refunds on account.
NOTE:
If you use the Cash Accounting VAT scheme and the refund is on a submitted VAT Return, you can't delete it.
Delete a customer refund
- Go to Banking and open the bank account containing the customer refund.
- Select the refund transaction.
TIP:
Use the From and To boxes to select the correct date range. Select More and change the Type to Customer Refund.
- Once you've opened the refund transaction, select Delete.
- Select Delete Transaction to confirm the deletion.
You've now deleted the refund. Any transactions you allocated to the refund now show as unpaid.
