Reset your data

Summary

How to reset to remove all of your Sage Accounting data. This allows you to restart your product from scratch.

Description

The reset data option removes all data you've processed in Sage Accounting. This doesn't reset your business name, billing details and email address.

Before you start, make sure you:

Print any reports you want to keep
Export any necessary data
Make notes of any other information that you can't export
Disconnect any bank feeds, you'll need to set up these again after you reset your data
Disconnect any third-party connections

Resolution

From Settings, choose Business settings.
From the Data management section, select Reset data.
Enter the email address you use to sign in, then select Reset Data.

NOTE:

▼ If you have Opayo integrated

After resetting your data, you need to re-enter your Opayo credentials.

If you issued any invoices with the Pay Now button before resetting your data, your customers can still pay you through Opayo.

Even though your customers can still pay you, it won't mark your invoice as paid. Manually record them once they appear in your Opayo account.

If you have Opayo eCommerce account, any eCommerce transactions downloaded before resetting your data no longer appear. These transactions still appear in your Opayo account.
