This guide explains how to back up and restore data through the Sage Provisioning Portal for Sage 200 Standard / Education.
Description
Each company database for your site is backed up automatically at the end of the each day. You can also manually back up your site or your company database at any time as required. All backups are created through the Sage Provisioning Portal. The backups are stored in the cloud and can be restored on request by our customer services team.
Resolution
To back up your whole site
- Open the Sage Provisioning Portal, and log in.
- Open your site.
- Click Backup.
To back up a single company
- Open the Sage Provisioning Portal, and log in.
- Open your site.
- Expand the Databases option.
- From the Actions column, click Backup.
NOTE: If you click Backup in the Operations area, this will backup the whole site, not a single company
- Confirm that you want to back up the company.
To restore a site backup
TIP: If you don't have an option to restore, contact your support partner who will be able to run this for you.
- Open the Sage Provisioning Portal, and log in.
- Open your site.
- Click Backup.
CAUTION: This will restore all databases on the site to the same point.
To restore a single company
- Open the Sage Provisioning Portal, and log in.
- Open your site.
- Expand the Databases option.
- From the Actions column, click Restore.
NOTE: If you click Restore in the Operations area, this will restore the whole site, not a single company
- Select a backup and click the Restore option.
NOTE: This process can take over an hour to complete. Ensure that all users remain out of the database and don't access until the site has a status of Ready.
