Description
After recent updates to Sage 200 for Education and Sage 200 Standard published March 1st some customers may have encountered a loss of functionality when using the Data to Excel option from within a previewed report.
CAUTION: Customers using Sage 200 Professional 2022 R1 could also be affected by this issue, this was logged as Issue 8465 and was fixed in 2022 R2.
We have identified the root cause of this problem and a fix can be deployed as outlined below.
Resolution
TIP: This issue is now resolved in Sage 200 Standard via an automatic update.
The below solution is applicable to Sage 200 Professional.
NOTE: Close the Sage 200 program before attempting the install below.
NOTE: The below update will need to be ran on each client install.
- Download the OpenXmlLauncher 2022 R1
- Extract the files via right-clicking on the downloaded package and selecting Extract All.
- Windows will ask where to place the extracted files, browse them into a suitable directory for storage.
NOTE: The downloaded files and their extracted contents can be deleted once the application has been run.
To run the update double click from the directory extracted the contents of the zip file to previously.
Some users may see additional User Account Control or UAC screens provided by Windows. This will be down to security configuration and whether you have Administrator access. You may need to speak to your local IT support if you need additional Administrator rights to run the application.
The expected message will read: Do you want this app from an unknown publisher to make changes to your device?
Choose yes.
Once the installation has been completed you will be able to use the Data to Excel function from within your reports as expected.
Sage Partner Cloud
If you are using SPC with 2022 R1 your Business Partner can follow the above process using the Sessiondesktop option once the Remote Desktop session has launched via browsing the download, unzipping local and running the OpenXmlLauncher 2022 R1.exe. This will only need to be run on one session to correct the issue for all users of your Sage Partner Cloud site.
