Payroll Assistant flags a valid National Insurance (NI) number as invalid

Information on an issue with NI number validation in Sage 50 Payroll.

Sometimes, Payroll Assistant flags a valid NI number as invalid. When this happens you see the error:

'The employee's NI number XX123456X is not in the correct format'.

We're currently investigating this issue. As a workaround, if you've checked the NI number and it's correct, you can ignore the warning.
