Microsoft has recently changed the name of its email server which may result in the error message 'Unable to connect to the remote server' when emailing documents. Don't worry, you can easily update your email settings in Sage 50 Payroll.

Recording Statutory Sick Pay

By law, you must pay statutory sick pay to all employees who are off work due to sickness and qualify for sick pay. Your Sage 50 Payroll contains the most up to date legislation and simplifies processing sick pay by automatically calculating SSP for you.

As a temporary measure, absences relating to COVID-19 are paid from day one and the Coronavirus SSP Rebate scheme is being reintroduced in order to support employers with increased levels of sickness absence due to COVID-19.

Everyone makes mistakes, don't worry though, it's easy to go back and put things right using the Rollback option.
